Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
Hello,
I have an Audi with CZAC engine code and the application reports that engine code is not supported.
Is it possible to add support for it, please?

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
No feedback about this engine, I'm sorry.
Anyway you can try every existing group, maybe some of them is ok for your engine. Also using the free app, just to check that the communication is ok ans some parameter can be read.
Let me know the results

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
Hi,
Thank you for your answer.
I have the paid app as I've been using it for 4 years on a CRCA.
I have attached a printscreen from the application. The percentage fill level is not correct as at some point was showing more than 100%, I think 108%.
If you need data from the ECU, please tell me as I have OBDeleven and VCDS available.
Best regards!

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
Hello again,
I have attached two print screens from the app, one is before regeneration started (I don't know "how much before" it was, but I suspect not more than 130%) and one after the regeneration finished.
Can the app be modified to support the CZAC engine code?
As I have said, I have VCDS and OBDeleven and I can get VAS5054, if needed.
Thank you!

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
You can make some test by playing with the "field regeneration limit" parameter that lets you change the value corresponding to the 100% filling.
It's happened many times that a 30 grams value is the correct one, in fact I added that option just for those cases. Anyway try and let me know what's the correct value for you.

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
Hi,
Thanks for helping. I will try it and report back. Unfortunately, the car is a vacation and weekend car, so it's not driven that often.
What I noticed from the pictures that I uploaded is that the distance since last regeneration didn't reset. When I parked the car, the post injection was active, so I waited until it deactivated, around 5-7 minutes.
Regarding that the distance is not reset, is it possible that the ECU stops the regeneration before it finishes the cycle?

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
Yes it's possible.
The regenerations stand still is an option, but the ECU can decide to interrupt it if the conditions aren't good enough. This depends on the engine type, my previous A3 2.0 TDI sometimes didn't complete the regenerations stand still while the A4 2.0 TDI always completed them.
If you see the distance since last regen not reset, the ECU considers the regeneration uncompleted and can decide to resume it next time you use the car or wait until the soot mass value reaches the 100% limit.

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
Hi,
I come with the update.
I have set the "Field Regeneration Limit" to 41, but it regenerated at 102%, so now I've set it to 42. Unfortunatelly, I couldn't check when it regenerated, but I think this is the "more" correct value.

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
It's the highest value I've seen, but consider that an error in the calculation formula is possibile.
Have you ever checked the soot mass value using another tool? Does it stay in the same range?

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
I will try to measure it today with OBDeleven and I will share the value.
Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
Hi,
I have checked yesterday and I have the same values between OBDeleven and VAG DPF on Soot Mass Calculated and Soot Mass Measured.

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
Ok, let's consider it plausible.
Thanks for the feedback

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
You're welcome!
If you want, I can check with VCDS, but I suppose the values will be the same.

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
It could be a further confirmation.
With VCDS you can look for the field regeneration soot mass limit value, some ECUs have this value in the diagnostic parameters.
It could also be visible in OBDeleven, if they mapped it.

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
I have attached the photos.
I couldn't find "field regeneration soot mass limit value", but something different. I don't know if it helps.

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
Is that, the description changes very often.
So the limit is set to 34.69 grams while you've experienced it near 42 grams. You should understand if this delay is due to not optimal conditions, so the ECU waits for them, or if it's delayed every time. In the latter I don't know what could be the reason.

Re: Audi SQ7 CZAC engine code
Thank you for the reply.
I think it's from not optimal conditions. I was expecting it to start as my former CRCA car, but it seems that it doesn't. Yesterday it started at around 90%. I didn't see the exact value when it started, but I aproximated the last value, 87%, with the distance that I drove until I saw it regenerating.
I will write 35 in the "Field Regeneration Limit".
