Unfortunately I don't have any feedback about that engine.
It should belong to the same 2.0 TDI family used by many vag cars that the app support, so there's a good chance it will work with the app.
You could try using the free app and a good ELM327 adapter. Try switching every engine group in the options and looking for the best one.
