DBGC engine

Post by Megabass » Thu Mar 12, 2020 2:25 pm

Hi.
I own the VW Tiguan 2018, engine DBGC - it is not on the support list. Do you plan to add to the program?

You can find the answer in the FAQ page:

Hi.
I read the entire FAQ :)
The connection settings specify the "Read from ECU" option. The program works normally and determines the DBGC motor code correctly. How important is setting up a connection with my engine rather than auto-detection?

With auto detect setting, the app search for your engine code in the internal database and set the correct requests for it. In case the app doesn't find the engine, it remains set with the default engine code 0.
I see in your screenshot that the EGR parameter isn't read correctly, so I suggest you to try also the other groups looking for someone who gives your all 12 parameters correctly read.

Could be a problem if I picked the wrong group?
How do I make sure that the selected group is correct - the EGR parameter will be displayed correctly?

Found out that my DBGC motor is a version of the DFGA motor, but not EURO6, but EURO5 - especially for Russia. Does that mean I need to set group 14, which includes the DFGA motor? What does the * symbol mean next to the DFGA code?

Different groups share some parameters so it's possible that more than one group is fully working for the same engine.
If you want an advise, post every group with all the parameters read correctly, then we can decide.

* next to the engine code means that this engine was added to the list after a test performed by an user and not directly by me.

Did a connection experiment.
When group 14 was selected, most of the data was missing.

When group 12 is selected, all data is displayed normally, including EGR parameter

Thank you for your help :)

Just now noticed that the EGR parameter is displayed by High Press, but my EGR LOW motor has.
I will try other profiles

With Group 9 everything worked properly - EGR parameter is displayed by Low Press

Ok you can use that group, all the app functions will work.

The only things to be verified are the post injections, you should check if the values will change using the car. Post injection 2 should change all the time using the car and post injection 3 should change principally during the regeneration.

Unfortunately could not find official information regarding post injection 2 when using the machine normally. I only change this parameter during regeneration.

It could be correct, every engine has its own configuration. Post injections are used first to reduce emissions and noise but also to perform the regeneration increasing the DPF internal temperature.

My doubt was if these values always stayed at 0, this would have meant a wrong request to the ECU, but if you see the values changing, they're ok.

Here 's a screenshot after regeneration. Post injection 2 and Post injection 3 shows max values during regeneration

Perfect! I'll add your engine to group 9. Thanks
