Support for CECA

Post by lukbcd » Thu May 19, 2022 2:26 pm

Hello,

is it possible to add the engine CECA? I would be really happy about that.

If you need any help, I can give you remote access to my computer. I have all the cables, drivers and adapters.

Car: Volkswagen Crafter 2.5 TDI
Power: 100 kW / 136 PS
First registration: 12.2011

Many thanks,
Lukas

Unfortunately I don't have any feedback about it.

The first step, if you have an ELM327 adapter, is to check what parameters can be read changing every engine group in the options.
If you're lucky, you could find one or more groups fully compatible with your engine with all parameters readable, otherwise you can see only few parameters in some groups. If any parameter can be read in all groups, we have few chances.

Let me know if you can do this test.

Thank you very much for your fast response.

I was using Carista and going through each engine group in the options. Unfortunately, I received the following error message for each engine group when trying it out:
- "ECU responds to OBD2 requests but not to CAN ISO-15765 requests."

Does that mean that there is no chance by supporting this engine?

Unfortunately yes, it seems unsupported.

I also checked in the mailbox for the similar engines CECB, CEBA and CEBB, but I don't have any feedback.
Based on the engine year, it could be correct because the diagnostic protocol was changed near the years 2010-2011 (different depending on brand and engine family).
