Hello,

I would like to ask if it's supposed that the app won't refresh or log data unless you keep the app opened on your phone. At least when reverting to home screen or locking the phone but keep the app running in the background I observed this behavior.

I use a carista device connected via bluetooth and a Samsung S10 with Android 12.

There is no background service, the app is intended to be used with screen on.

A workaround is to use the picture-in-picture (floating window) function keeping a little window on the screen.
But if the screen is off, the life of the app depends on the android power save function: the OS can decide to kill the app to reduce consumption or to free memory.
