Hello!
There have been several topics, but I haven't seen a solution anywhere. In a Passat b8 CRLB car, the regeneration goes smoothly, but after a while the measured soot leaves the calculated soot amount, then the % indication suddenly jumps from 70 to 100, and the car starts regenerating. This is mainly in urban conditions. On the highway, however, the calculated soot amount reaches the limit sooner, but from there it also jumps from 70% to 100, and regeneration also starts. I can't figure it out. Regenerations happen about every 200-250 km. Thank you to whoever answers.
Passat B8 CRLB question
Re: Passat B8 CRLB question
Consider that there are counters that can force the regeneration: 2 of them are time and mileage. If you reach those limits, the ECU starts the regeneration moving the soot value to 100%.
This is an example of what happens in the ECU, it's not always a regular growing of the soot mass.
That said, if you see this behavior so frequently, it can be related to some sensor failure or other DPF part not working as expected. Did you already asked for a complete diagnosis? Sensor failures are usually stored in the ECU logs.
