23% soot persists

Post by danielcosta78 » Sun Dec 29, 2024 8:02 pm

Hi, I have a 2018 Polo 1.6TDI, and when I do the regeneration at the end there is still 23% soot, is this normal or is there some anomaly?

In my experience, it's normal. The regeneration process stops near that value to dont increase the overall time of many minutes with low soot reduction.
The reduction rate is higher when the filter is full and decreases when it's almost empty, this means that to remove the same quantity of soot, more time is needed.
