Bluetooth LE (4.0+) support

Hi, I'm using the app for over a year.
A few days ago, I bought the Vgate iCar Pro 2S, but I can't connect to the adapter.
In Car Scanner, I had to change Bluetooth to Bluetooth LE (4.0+).
Can we add support for Bluetooth LE (4.0+)?

I'm facing the problem since also my new smartphone can't connect to my BLE ELM327 adapter while the previous smartphone can connect fine.
After a quick check, I probably need to modify the bluetooth connection code to fully support the BLE devices.

A few days ago, I bought the Vgate iCar Pro 2S, but I can't connect to the adapter.

I tried today to replicate the issue but it never happens anymore with my devices. I had a firmware update in the smartphone 2 days ago so I don't know if maybe it changed something in the bluetooth stack. I need to go deep.

Can you describe what exactly happens in your device and what smartphone are you using? Thanks

I have Vgate iCar Pro 2S as well and no any connection issues with VAG DPF (Samsung Galaxy S23+, Android 14).

BTW, is it possible to configure the app working in the background and set it auto-connect if the adapter is in range?

Currently no because there isn't a background service for the connection management. The app has been created to be used in foreground on the screen, also because in that time I wasn't so expert in java language. To implement what you ask, I should redesign many of the core structure with many test and debug. Today it's impossibile, I don't have so much time to spend, I'm sorry.
