BETA test for 29bit init protocol

Still not working, but using the 29bit ID (protocol 7 for ELM) your ECU replies always with CAN ERROR while using the 11bit ID (protocol 6 for ELM) the ECU replies sometime with a correct answer and sometime with the error of "serviceNotSupported". So the 29bit ID is wrong for sure, but I don't understand why the 11 bit doesn't work too. What's your ELM adapter?

Closing this message allows to check current parameters, so this seems to be fine.

I use this ELM

I own exactly the same adapter, at least the same external case, and it doesn't work with my car. It often refuses to manage a multi line can packets adding NO DATA in the second line. It's a very low quality adapter, it works only with OBD2 protocol with 2-bytes PIDs and single line packets.
My advise is to find a good adapter, otherwise we can't understand if the issue is in the code or in the adapter. As you can see, other users have good results with the beta protocol, the code works for engine codes DTUA, DXNB and DSUD.

The error is due to a NO DATA response to the request 0100 that I send to check if the ECU replies to a common OBD2 PID, just to understand if there is communication. Your ECU doesn't respond, but then it goes on without problems so probably, for 29bit ID, the request 0100 isn't correct or can't be sent. I need to investigate. At the moment the BETA engine group has an aggressive error log management, so every error raises up a popup to let the user copy and paste the init log, otherwise I can't know what's happening. In one of next releases I'll add another engine group containing the working engine types, but removing all these error messages.

In a '22 Octavia. with the 29bit protocol something is already starting to work, unfortunately it's not my car so I can't test it properly, I can only connect once in a while

The first time you enable the logging, the app asks you the permissions to save the file and the folder you want. In that folder you'll find a txt file that's the log.

Did you voluntarily disable the soot mass measured field? Maybe you clicked on it without meaning to?

After this feedback I think I have to change the commands sequence to avoid the error after the 0100 request. This should remove the error popup for the supported 29-bit ID engines and make the connection free of warnings.
