Hi friend,

Could you help me fix connection issue with my car, i have Skoda Octavia A8, 2020, with 2.0 tdi DSTB motor, i try to use few adapter, wich wor with Car scaner ok, but with DPF always show me error:

Yes it is a low cost, it's a blue elm327 mini

When there isn't communication, it's quite impossibile to understand if the cause is the adapter of the wrong profile in the app, but as said, your engine worked for other users, so I think you could have the same result with a good adapter, replacing your low cost version.

I have DSUD 2.0tdi and 3.39.12 app and I am not able to read data as you can see in screen. Any solution?

With my old car 1.6 tdi CAYC it is function.

Can you share the full log copying it in a txt file?

OK. But which type of adapter we must use? Better said, what type of protocol is needed? I think, that OBDII is not full compatible and you do not give direct answer what is needed for new types of car. You only say that we have bad quality adapter - what does it mean? Is is not good answer. Thx

Basically, every "real" ELM327 adapter works. The app requires an adapter that can manage all the commands specified by ELM electronics for its chip.
So where is the issue? The issue is in the "real" word written above: the most of the low cost adapters are fake, they use a cracked old firmware with reduced functionalities versus the full set of functions. This cracked firmware has been made to work with OBD2 apps that send/receive 2 bytes long data packets only. The ISO Canbus protocol supports up to 7 data bytes packet, but those low cost adapters can't manage it.
Then the common question is: how can I identify a cloned fake adapter? It's quite impossible because the companies who sell those adapters declare the full compatibility with all existing protocols in the world, of course. In my experience, the price usually reveals the adapter quality, with some exceptions that depends on how lucky you're in the choice.

To be 100% sure, I usually advise the Carista adapter (both old and new versions are good) because it's produced by a real company with a customer service and a replacement policy in case of fail. It's a little expensive, but it works for sure with all the diagnostic apps.
Further good adapters are the "Konnwei KW902" and the "Vgate iCar 2 Bluetooth" (please note that it requires to press a button to be powered on) that I tested personally.
If you want to spend less, the common strategy is to buy a low cost adapter from Amazon and return it back for free in case it doesn't work. Of course if you can take advantage of the experience of friends, receiving their advice, you can reduce the number of attempts.

Hello, anyone test NX3475 for Skoda 2024 TDI? I'm waiting for vpeek plus and then i'll do test with lite version. I've also a golf 7 2015 that should be compatibile.

On my Ford Tourneo Connect 2025 (which is exactly a rebranded VW Caddy V with MQB-EVO platform and DXR motorcode) the 29bit protocol works, I can see the date even if when I connect I always receive the error message of OBD protocol not established. But then just close message and it works.

It behaves the same way in my Škoda Kodiaq II 2024, there is always error message at the start but then everything works just fine. I think this was introduced with one of the previous versions as in the beginning when the 29-bit protocol was first introduced there was no error message at the start.

In next release I'll modify a little the initialization checks to avoid the error message for situations like yours.

It behaves the same way in my Škoda Kodiaq II 2024, there is always error message at the start but then everything works just fine. I think this was introduced with one of the previous versions as in the beginning when the 29-bit protocol was first introduced there was no error message at the start.

I confirm, I forced the error message to make the initialization log readable and savable for debug, but in a particular condition it is raised also if not really necessary.
I'm going to correct this issue in the next app release.

I've already discussed this topic here: Octavia 2022, engine code DTUA. The program already supported this engine, but on an S23 phone. Now I've got a new S25edge phone, and the problem persists. Below are the error logs. What can I fix to get the phone to connect?

ECU responds to OBD2 requests but not to CAN ISO-15765 requests.

Possible causes:
- engine not supported
- ELM327 faulty or bad quality

Based on your log, it seems you didn't use the group 97 BETA. Can you confirm?

Yes, you're right, it was group 18, not 97 beta. Now the program connects to the computer. It does show a short error, but as I mentioned earlier, it's not my car, so I'm having trouble copying that error.

But it works and shows the DPF values.

I'm working to remove that annoying error that seems to be irrelevant for the app to function, at least with new engines with 29bit init.

You can add the DXPB engine to the list of working ones, you have to select it manually 29bit protocol

The problem described above unfortunately still exists on the latest 4.44.15

I know the message is still present in last release, I'm going to fix it.

An important news is that in 2-3 weeks I'm going to analyze a DXPA engine with 29bit init protocol.
A friend finally decided to buy it

With that data I should create an official engine group, removing the BETA statement.
