I have just bought the Vgate iCar2 Bluetooth scanner to use with VAG DPF to try to prove or disprove that coolant loss from the expansion tank in my 2016 Octavia 3 1.9 110KW TDI is associated with Regenerations in certain situations.
I will need to perform some 'controlled' tests with the App running and logging and I wondered what are the Sounds that the App can make so that hopefully I will not have to constantly monitor the App. I see an option to allow Sounds but I cannot see anything in the manual, faq, etc.
Skoda Coolant Loss!
Re: Skoda Coolant Loss!
What do you need to know exactly?
Some events launch a notification sound, do you need to know which ones?

Re: Skoda Coolant Loss!
Sorry for the delay. Ideally sounds to know when the regen starts and finishes because the evidence is that the loss of coolant relates to the regen and a partially clogged heater matrix unable to dissipate the extra heat.
Hearing sounds would be a bit safer than watching the phone whilst driving (which I did yesterday)!! It's no big deal - I just wondered.
PS I do like the app.

Re: Skoda Coolant Loss!
I confirm those sounds are present, but only in the full pay app.
The lite app doesn't have sounds.
- field regeneration started
- field regeneration ended/paused
- passive regeneration started
