DFHA 2.0 TDI

Post by Parol » Thu Sep 03, 2020 1:37 pm

Greetings to all!
Good program, works great on DFGA and DADA engines, but on my DFHA, it doesn't. Doesn't show anything that I wanted. For example, residue of soot and ash. Maybe the Admin will tell you something?
I am attaching a screenshot.

It's possible that DFHA has different parameters setup depending on its software release.
It already happened with some recent engine: I had to create 2 different setup taking in account the engine type and the ECU software version.

You should try engine groups different from 14 (this is the standard group for DFHA engine) checking if they give you more readable parameters.

Let me know what you find.

Thanks for your answer, of course I will try and let you know what happened. So far I tried to determine automatically, and group 14, with the same result.

Everything turned out to be very simple, when I chose group 9, the test passed. Thank you for the tip.

Seems ok, thanks

You should verifiy this:
  • "Regen. duration" field must increase during the regeneration, check also if the time increases correctly (the minutes increase corresponding to the real time)
  • "Time since last regen." must increase correctly
  • "Post injection 1" and "Post injection 2" are almost always at 0, but during the regeneration they must have values different from 0
Bye

Hi, I just want to report that my DFHA engine is not working properly with predefined group 14, but group 12 is looking good (also regen. duration is increasing during regeneration, time since last regen is increasing correctly and Post injection 1 and Post injection 2 are different from 0 during regeneration)

Thanks for the report. Maybe can you give me more details about what isn't working? Also a screenshot of the new setup is welcome to check the ECU sw and hw rersions.

I need to create a custom group for that specific ECU sw version using the group 12 as data base.
Did you take this screenshot with engine powered off? I don't see any post injection.

Thanks for the feedback

imho Post injection is only done while regeneration is active. In the screenshots there seems no regeneration active.
Btw: My DFHA (year 2017) works perfect with default group.
If different setups are necessary for different generations are necessary with this engine, you cqn perhaps decide by model year or SW-part number

Post injections (mainly post injection 1 and 2) are used also for noise and pollution reduction, especially in last engines with higher emission restrictions.
In normal using with no active regeneration, you should see some post injection. A value fix to 0 could mean a wrong parameter setup, but during an active regeneration you can easily verify if those values are correct with non-zero values.

EDIT: I didn't see you reported that post injections values aren't zero during the regen. Thanks

Since recent update (3.27.12) you introduced two engine groups (12 and 14) with engine DFHA. "Automatic engine selection" choses group 12 for my engine, which does not work for my engine (no values displayed, yellow vehi le symbol).
Only after manually selecting group 14, everything works well as before. Perhaps you can check this for future releases to be mapped correct at automatic selection.

My engine data:SW: 04L906026GT/3019
HW: 04L907309P

Yes thanks, the selection is made checking the ECU SW number. With the information provided I can include your version in the correct engine group.
