Re: CKFC Engine

I don't have many reports about it. Someone reports it works, and some other reports it doesn't work.
Unfortunately I can't confirm it will work with absolute certainty.

Re: VAG DPG for IOS

As already written, for me it's impossible to start again the development of the new app for iOS.

I'm sorry.

Re: Support for new engine

The app was developed on the diagnostic protocol available in 2017, that actually is still the last available for VAG. Your engine uses the old protocol that was replaced about in years 2010-2011, depending on car model and brand. Unfortunately, these 2 protocols don't share anything. I tried to ana...

Re: What information is this?

That is the counter for reading errors. If it isn't zero, you have one or more field unreadable. For convenience and to save time, you should disable that field clicking on it (them) so the app doesn't waste time trying to read that parameter.

Re: DDXC Engine

With post injections you can check if the ECU is increasing the amount of fuel post injected to increase the output gas and then increase the DPF filter temperature.
It's easy to see the different values between regeneration phase and normal engine working.

Re: No display on injector 1

Your engine is partially supported: the post injections (last 3 fields) don't work and you can disable them (click to grey out) so the app doesn't waste time trying to request those parameters. But these 3 values aren't important to check the DPF behavior, you have to check the first field with soot...

Have you some screenshots to share? I think the best should be group 15.

Re: Dpf soot capacity

Some ECUs have oil ash in liters, some in grams and some in both values.
When both available, I prefer the on in grams because is more accurate than liters.

Also for the mileage, if it isn't present means that the engine ECU doesn't have the value available in the parameters list.

Re: Checkboxes for desired parameters

It would be nice for sure, the complication is that every engine has its own parameters so you can imagine how much could be the optional parameter list. I thought in the past about a similar option, but due to the current app structure, the job would be very complicated because I should rebuild all...

Re: CFHF engine

I don't have direct experience with that engine neither confirmation reports, but it should be very similar to supported engines CFHA,CFHC,CFHD.

If you want to try, you have to manually set the engine group 3 in the options menu.
In case, let me know how it works.

Re: Dpf soot capacity

The soot limit isn't available in the parameter list of the ECU, so I've added a common value of 24,19 grams that should be correct for your engine.

The ash mass limit for CAYC is 70 grams, you can also calculate it using the percentage value in the top left of the oil ash field.

Re: DDXC Engine

Your engine should work. I have some reports that confirm it can be connected to the app using engine group 10. Unfortunately, I don't have confirmation for all 12 fields because I received only static screenshots in which I can't understand if visible values change correctly while driving. If you w...

VAG DPF - User Manual: Connecting

Connecting with Bluetooth ELM327 adapter Before connecting the app, you have to pair the device to the adapter using the standard bluetooth connection menu of the Android device. To be paired, the adapter must be powered on (connected to the car or to a 12V supplier) When your adapter is paired, yo...

Re: Variables explanations

Here the answers based on what I've learned in last years (I'm not an engine technician): Post injections are used by engine ECU to reduce nocive emissions and engine noise, the difference between 1 2 and 3 is just the timing, number 2 is after number 1 and number 3 is after number 2, in normal use ...

Re: Engine revs

Yes I agree, I've tried to use it during my tests, but the refresh rate make it unusable because what you see on the screen (or in the log file) is not synchronized well to other fields due to bluetooth communication delay.
Moreover I don't have space to add further fields on screen, actually.

Re: Oil level

My actual plan is to separate data that need to be refreshed quickly and data that are almost always static. For example, I don't need to check in every data update the value of the oil ash deposit because it changes very rarely. Probably the best solution is to keep static data in a separate page t...

Re: Oil level

Yes I confirm it would be possibile to add the oil level. Not all engines have it available, but most recent have it. The problem now it that I don't have space enough to add new fields. I have a list of useful fields to be added, but I can't proceed without a graphical redesign that actually isn't ...
