Re: Audi CRTD engine.

I checked quickly but I don't find any errors in the code. I'll give a deep check with a test in car.

In the meantime can you try to uninstall and reinstall the app? Just to check if it's a cache problem.

Re: time since last regen min

150 miles can be ok is you use the car principally in city and sometimes in highways. I have about the same distance and I drive in city almost always with one highway trip of about 2-300km during the weekend in which the ECU usually do the regeneration. You could increase this distance driving many...

Re: Audi CRTD engine.

Ok thanks for the detailed explanation. It sounds strange for me because my engine (and also the engine of my previous car) has a limit both in time and distance that are many less than your values. Probably you have a bigger filter (this is the reason why it starts to regen at 30 grams instead of 2...

Re: Audi CRTD engine.

I'm creating the new group 16 and I have a question for you: I see in your screenshots the values "Distance since last regen" and "Time since last regen" very high compared to common values for TDI engines, can you check if they increase correctly? Distance can be easily compared to your dash mileag...

Re: Audi CRTD engine.

Field Regen request status is a parameter I used in engines who don't have the Regen duration value. I used that to understand when the ECU is performing the regeneration process: for both parameters the value 0 means no pending or running regen activities; Regen Duration shows the regeneration time...

Re: Audi CRTD engine.

During next regeneration, try every engine group and check the parameter "Regen duration": if some group has value different from 0 I can merge that parameter to the group 10 to create a new group specific for your engine; if all groups have always value 0, I have no other solutions. Anyway, in this...

Re: Audi CRTD engine.

Green arrows on the filter image are static, the 2 green arrows next to the green car icon have to rotate when there are data receiving. I see those arrows in different angle position so I suppose they rotate. The red hourglass doesn't appear because the value "Regen. duration" is 0. This value must...

Re: Audi CRTD engine.

If green arrows don't rotate means no data transfer.
Can you see green arrows on the DPF filter image? Have you disabled the automatic data update maybe? Clicking on the DPF image you enable/disable the automatic data update.

Re: time since last regen min

The rating mg/km (or mg/min if you set it in the options) is the soot burning rate in mg for every km measured in the last 2km. The regeneration never finishes at 0%, this because when the filter is almost empty, the grams burned in the time are less than when the filter is full of soot (the soot bu...

Re: time since last regen min

Unfortunately I don't have experience in clogged PDF filter so I can't advise you about the right way to clean it. The forced regeneration is similar to the field one, so I think it doesn't give you more cleanliness. You oil ash residue seems to be low, I don't think it's the time to do a chemical c...

Re: time since last regen min

Sporadic errors could appear, they first depend on the adapter quality and sometimes also on the radio disturbances. About the pending regeneration: your filter can stay in a temporary condition if the regeneration is interrupted (for different reasons). When this happens, the ECU evaluates if next ...

Re: time since last regen min

If you let perform the regeneration standstill, the ECU could decide to interrupt it because it knows you are standstill and this could be the reason why you see the rpm decreasing. If you want to use the app to verify, you have to check the post injection values: when they fall to about 0 the regen...

Re: time since last regen min

I don't have experience in aged filters. You may ask to some real expert. The regeneration described in your post was probably interrupted before its natural end because the finished value is too high, it should be between 2 and 8 grams depending on the driving style in that moment. You can easily v...

Re: time since last regen min

Ok clear. In some ECU I found oli ash value both in grams and liters. I usually prefer to display the value in grams because it's more precise. The factor between the two units is 400: to translate your value in liters you have to multiply by 400. As you can see, the value 0,05 l corresponds to 20 g...

Re: time since last regen min

"Time since last regen" is running time, it doesn't increase when the engine is off. You can easily verify this checking the value just after the engine power off and just after the next engine start (after hours or days): the values are identical. I don't understand your question about oil ash ... ...

Can you post the error screen? Usually a complete uninstall-reinstall, with bluetooth unpair and new pair, solves the problem.

Last version doesn't contain any changes in connection protocol.

Re: Push notification when regeneration in progress

Yes it make sense. Unfortunately the app was developed without this goal (my mistake) and doesn't work like a service, this means that can't work in background or with the screen off. I should rewrite the app core, but I don't have much time to spend on it in this period. What I did as workaround wa...

Re: Audi CRTD engine.

I can definitely add CRTD engine to group 10.

If you always see your regeneration starting near 28-30 grams, you can override the field regen limit in the options menu adding your preferred value, so the percentage will become correct.
