Re: CAYC 1.6 TDI
It's difficult to know that. The soot mass calculated can be wrong if some sensor provides wrong data that make the entire calculation wrong. The ECU has internal diagnostic routines that give it information to understand if some sensor is faulty and consequently anticipates the regeneration. The su...

Re: CAYC 1.6 TDI
This is usually a symptom of a failure in some sensor, but it's impossible to know which one using my app. You should ask for a full diagnostic check to an official service or to a good mechanic. Your log is another confirmation that the soot mass measured value becomes a real usable value when ther...

Re: CAYC 1.6 TDI
Considering only March and April 2021, I see: a regeneration started with soot mass 21,36 grams and finished at 4,6 grams in the log "Save date(yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss): 2021-03-20 15:21:03" a regeneration started with soot mass 21,66 grams and finished at 6,38 grams in the log "Save date(yyyy-MM-dd HH:...

Re: CAYC 1.6 TDI
Yes it is.
But I don't find any issue in it, every regeneration started with correct soot mass values.
This is the list of the soot mass values just before the regeneration starting: Maybe the regeneration you mention weren't logged?
Do you remember the days when they happened?

Re: Sporadic connection errors
What kind of adapter are you using?
First suggestion is to set the update delay to 0, many cheap adapters don't like delays in the communication flow.
IF the problem persists, you can check if also with other applications you have the same disconnections.

Re: CAYC 1.6 TDI
These pictures are not useful because you can see the fields "distance since last regen" and "time since last regen" have already been reset after the regeneration completion.
The log file is usually saved in the "VAG_DPF" folder in the internal SD, if you didn't change it.

Re: CAYC 1.6 TDI
I see you've enabled the logging, you can easily verify what was the time and distance since last regeneration before the process started.
Or you can share the log here if you want.
Can you confirm your engine didn't receive a software update?

Re: CAYC 1.6 TDI
Have you checked what are the time and distance since last regen when the regeneration starts?
Today your engine starts to regenerate every time near 13 grams or it happens sometimes?

Re: 2012 Touareg CRCA , exhaust gas temperature
In last release I created a new group for CRCA engine with all working parameters. I decided to add input gas temperature and simulated DPF surface temperature.
Let me know if it works well

Re: DPF Active regen wont start
Something is clearly working wrong. I see little reductions in your pictures, but not enough to reduce the soot mass to the common value after regeneration. In this condition, the soot mass increases continuously and the DPF will be clogged soon. When the ECU detects a too high soot mass value, firs...

Re: DPF Active regen wont start
Was the regeneration finished? You can verify this checking the regen duration value, it change to 0 when finished.
And the soot mass should be between 2 and 8 grams.

Re: Refresh isn't possible
You have 2 ways to enable the automatic data update: tap in the DPF image or enable the data auto-update function after connecting in the options menu.
When you see green arrows in the DPF image, the function is active.

Re: New engine type?
I don't have data about your engine and no reports from users. If no engine groups works with it, I can assume it's similar to the new TDI engines launched with Golf 8 etc that have a new diagnostic setup. I'm working to make these new engines compatible, but I need to have a car to be tested and I'...

Re: DPF Active regen wont start
In this condition, the ECU should try to force the regeneration as soon as possible after the engine start, it's strange that this doesn't happen. The regeneration duration field shows 42 minutes so it seems that the ECU has started the regeneration. If you see the input gas temperature under 400°C ...

Re: Can't connect?
The ODBeleven adapter works only with the OBDeleven app, it isn't an ELM327 compatible adapter, this is the reason why it doesn't work with my app, but it shouldn't work wit h any other OBD app. This is a choice of the producer:

Re: 2012 Touareg CRCA , exhaust gas temperature
We can play with the parameter as we want because these is a new group so we don't need to keep compatibility with other engines. For example I can set the correct input gas temperature using sensor 3 in the first field and "simulated particle filter surface temperature" value in the second field. I...

Re: 2012 Touareg CRCA , exhaust gas temperature
I think you're right, there are only 2 temperature sensors in the exhaust line. I checked again in Elsawin and I see a page referring to CRCA engine that contains only description of sensors 1 and 3, then I see other pages with details about all 4 sensors (of which I've sent the printscreens) but wi...

Just to add more information to your knowledge, looking for CRCA engine in my stored documents I read this: Official VW SSP495 reports 3 exhaust temperature sensors: Exhaust gas temperature sender 1 G235 Exhaust gas temperature s...
