Re: DPF Light on after Active Regeneration

550°C should be enough for a standard regeneration. Some engines can reach higher temperatures between 650 and 700 but it depends on the engine type, the values are not the same for all engines. If the soot decreases slowly, you have to understand if it's really slow or if some sensor can't read the...

Re: What does low EGR mean

The value corresponds to the closing percentage of the EGR valve. 100% means that the valve is fully closed and the exhaust gas doesn't recirculate. 0% means that the valve is fully open and the exhaust gas recirculation is maximum. All the intermediate values mean a partial gas recirculation. You c...

The screen remains on only when the automatic data reading is enabled, you can check if the option is on looking for the green arrows on the filter image.

This function is present in VAG DPF (not in VAF DPF FREE), you have 2 way to enable it: tap on the dpf filter image after the connection, the you can enable or disable it with the same tap enable the specific function in the options to automatic start the data auto refresh just after the connection ...

Re: Jump in Calculated Soot Mass

Update It's been a year since my problem with the bad quality of Diesel. Now I have no smoke from the exhaust, and I have Regen about every 500-650 klms . The only problem is I get a engine light with P 2002 code . The dealership found nothing wrong with the car . Now I just drive with my engine li...

Re: Engine code

EA288 is the engine family, to understand if your new engine is supported by with the app you have to find the engine code.
For new engines, it's a 4 letters code.

Re: Skoda Octavia III 1.5 TDI 2015 Greenline DPF - Weird data please help interpret!

I was trying to check you log but it refers to 15 kms only. Can you attach the full log of the 200 kms trip? In this partial log posted I don't see anything strange. I see in your screenshots that the oil ash value is near to 0, this means that the service guy performed the ECU learned value reset a...

Re: Touareg 7p 4.2tdi v8 ckda

I've only one feedback about this engine, but at the end the user didn't confirm if it works. It can connect with the app, but only few parameters are read. It seems this engine has a completely different parameter setup versus all the other engine supported by the app. I never had the opportunity t...

Re: Slow Regen Seat Leon CRLB

First you could check if the ECU resisters some error that can give you more information. It's not normal to see the dpf warning light if the soot is below the field limit. Of course the problem can be everywhere in the engine, the best way to solve quickly is to find someone who deeply knows the dp...

Re: Soot mass measured and colours

The group for your engine is the 4, but there are many parameters shared between all groups so it's normal to find other groups fully working.
If you are more comfortable with the group 0 and all parameters are read correctly, there are no problems.

Re: Slow Regen Seat Leon CRLB

The regen process seems a little weak if the input gas temperature is always near 533 degrees like in your screenshot and the charge rate is 300mg/mi. The temperature usually stays over 600° and the charge rate can easily exceed 1000 mg/mi. Have you verified if this temperature is higher when you dr...

Re: Audi Crtd engine code not suported

I don't have experience on CRTD engine, I only received a request many months ago but after my answer, the user didn't reply. This engine seems similar to other supported engines, so I suggested to that user to try and let me know, but nothing happened then. I read in your message the ODB adapter yo...

Re: Can't connect?

As the error message says, the engine could be not supported. You should check if your engine code is present in the supported engine list.
For example, the CAYC (1.6 TDI) is supported, but I'm not sure this is your engine code.

Re: Different Infomation in Liter vs. gramm about Oil Ash Residue

I don't have experience on that and there aren't official documentations available for us. What I can report is that some users confirmed me that their cars run fine also with the oil ash over the limit, but this can't be an absolute guarantee. Personally I think that the limit is just an indication...

Re: Different Infomation in Liter vs. gramm about Oil Ash Residue

The app shows the oil ash percentage only if it finds the oil ash limit in the reading data, in your case this value isn't available. But if you've found it in the service manual, you can easily calculate the clogging considering that the ratio between liters and grams is 400. To obtain grams from y...

Actually no, I'm sorry. I developed the app on the last diagnostic protocol and your engine uses the old one. I tried to make the app compatibile also with that protocol, but I've found too many problems and I decided to abort that project.
