Re: Can I ask for an update?
Sorry I realized now that you asked for an estimation for the next regeneration while I've explained a feature to predict the regeneration duration. The feature you ask would require a constant connection between the app and the engine to read and collect all the information. If you connect the app ...

Re: Can I ask for an update?
It would be a good feature! I already tried to implement it, but after many tests I decided to discard it due to poor reliability in the predictions. Unfortunately the regeneration process doesn't follow a linear soot reduction, moreover there are many external factors that can change the regenerati...

Re: VW BJM Engine (VW Crafter 1 from 2007)
It probably uses the old diagnostic protocol that isn't supported by the app. Based on what I've seen to date, the current protocol has been intruduced nead 2010-2011 depending on brand and model, moreover all the engines with new protocol have the 4 digit engine code. There aren't engines with 3 di...

Re: Skoda Coolant Loss!
I confirm those sounds are present, but only in the full pay app.
The lite app doesn't have sounds.
- field regeneration started
- field regeneration ended/paused
- passive regeneration started

Re: Extreamly slow/long regeneration CAYC, after 100km reg DPF-Light comes also on
Yes I meant the official VW service guys, just to understand if they already know this kind of issue. Usually they can also contact the main service office in Germany if there isn't valid solutions to implement. Of course, if you are outside the legal warranty period, you could pay for the service a...

Re: Extreamly slow/long regeneration CAYC, after 100km reg DPF-Light comes also on
Your previous message was probably accidentally discarded inside the tons of spam I receive today. My apologize. This seems a crazy issue. I've analyzed the logs and everything seems ok but the regeneration speed is extremely slow. I agree with you that the output gas temperature is lower that what ...

I don't have plan to introduce compatibility with the old protocol.
I started an analysis some year ago, but founding many blocking problems, I decided to abort the activity.

What do you need to know exactly?
Some events launch a notification sound, do you need to know which ones?

Re: Multivan T7
Unfortunately, bad news from the dealer: they don't rent the car for test, they only give a temporary car in case of long repairs, but almost always those cars are already assigned. I keep searching. Thanks for your offer using your own car, but I'd need to have the car available for days or probabl...

I can't schedule the activity because I don't have any new car available.
Already asked to friends and rental companies near to me, but without success... They all own at most 2-3 years old cars, not newer.
I keep searching and asking.

Re: T-roc 2.0 DTR engine group number
Pretty recent engine that I never tested and of which I didn't receive any feedback from users. You can try all engine groups available in the free app, if you're lucky you can find some working setup, but I suspect it uses the last 29bit protocol that isn't supported by the app yet. In this case, a...

Re: Multivan T7
It probably belong to the new TDI family with 29-bit initialization protocol instead of 11-bit of the previous ones. I've had the opportunity to analyze this new protocol one time the last year, but to implement a new initialization protocol in the app I need to have a car available for days for tes...

Re: Multivan T7
If the engine is automatically recognized by the app, you don't need to set the engine code.
Otherwise you can try each engine group and decide by yourself the best one depending on how many parameters can be read.
Of course you can ask me for an advise.

To be sure I need the engine code.
Otherwise with the model year and the engine specs I can try to identify it.

Today it isn't planned.
I can't find a recent car asking to friends. I'm thinking to rent a car when I'll have a free time slot.

Not VAG DPF, BPW engine uses the old diagnostic protocol while the app works only with the last one.

Re: Strange DPF data reading after battery was disconnected
Sometimes those value become senseless just because they can be altered by the ECU as needed. For example, in case of sensor failure (usually the differential pressure one) the ecu suddenly raises the calculated soot mass value to the regeneration limit to force the start of the regeneration. Obviou...
