In fact it was a stupid error in a single line.
New release 3.37.12 published.

Re: BETA test for 29bit init protocol
This is a super good news! The app can talk with the ECU using the 29bit initialization protocol, at least to receive the engine type and sw/hw version. Unfortunately no DPF data can be read and I have to understand if there's an error in the code or maybe the setup for DTTC is completely different ...

Re: Slow regens and output temp much higher than imput
Many factors concurr to increase/decrease the mileage between regens. The most important value the ECU uses is the differential pressure, but the DPF filling speed depends mainly on the driving style and consequently on the gas temperature. Driving in highway at constant high speed allows high gas t...

Did you try to scroll the error message or is it only that? It should contain some more lines.

New release published right now with more details in the 29bit log.
Also the FREE app has been updated adding the same logging text in the popup error message.

Re: BETA test for 29bit init protocol
Thanks for the first feedback, I'm analyzing it.
The log file is written only if there is communication and reading of parameters, it's reason why I added the initialization log in the error message. It works as expected.

Re: Help on OUTPUT GAS TEMP SENSOR
Officially, Google doesn't allow all app to run in android auto system. Only certain kind of app can run, see here:https://developers.google.com/cars/design/create-apps Screenshot 2024-09-20 082159.png VAG DPF isn't in those groups. I guess you're using the screen mirroring function in your picture,...

Re: Slow regens and output temp much higher than imput
I see your maximum values that seem correct, the input is 680° and the output is 626°. This means that during the regeneration, the temperatures reach the correct values. The input temp depends mainly on the injected fuel quantity because post injections are a percentage of the main injection, so if...

Re: BETA test for 29bit init protocol
New release 3.31.12 published: you'll find the new group 97 that should work like all others, I hope. Selecting it, the log file will contain more details about the initialization commands that can be useful for me to understand what happens in case of communication failure. Let me know how it works...

Re: BETA test for 29bit init protocol
Wait just few days, I'm in the pre-launch checks.
There are other new features and corrections that I need to test.
Probably the free app will be published some days after the full app.

Re: Help on OUTPUT GAS TEMP SENSOR
I agree, it's probably the case to split DAVA into 2 different groups.
I add this task to the TODO list.
Probably not in the new release that I'm publishing now, but the following one will contain the new group.

Re: Audi a6c6 CAHA sudden regeneration
Those sudden jumps are usually symptoms of some sensor fail. It's the common behavior of a DPF system with differential pressure fail, but it's not the only one possible reason. The ECU has many internal checks to reduce the risk of fire, mainly timing and mileage checks. Moreover when a sensor o a ...

Re: Caddy - Weird results
That so long distance since last regen can be explained with 2 reasons: ECU chip tuning with DPF removal wrong calculation formula in the app If you're confident that no chip tuning has been applied, we need to understand where is the error. First: what engine group have you used? CFHF engine isn't ...

Re: BETA test for 29bit init protocol
I'm implementing the beta profile in both apps, but only the full app has the log file feature to save at least a short result of the connection.
In the free app I'm evaluating if it's the case to add a popup with the same information just to give you, and then to me, a feedback of what happens.

Re: Help on OUTPUT GAS TEMP SENSOR
Without a double check, we can only suppose what's the correct parameter and related formula. I could try to correct the formula, but we can't be sure that the parameter is definitely the output gas temperature, it could be another temperature because the setup is different from any other group. Unf...
