After a battery disconnection, it seems there are specific routines for the DPF management, different from the standard. I think this is an emergency behavior introduced to prevent risk of fire. The app reads the values that the ECU makes available through the diagnosis port, I don't want to introduce changes or offsets, I prefer to keep the real values.

The solution should be the same: set the right engine group 12 or 14 in the options menu.
It seems that DFHA engines are affected by this issue of last app update while other engines work fine.

It's strange because the error is for the first bluetooth connection with the adapter, before to try to communicate.
Was the adapter unconnected when you launched VAG DPF?
Can you see the adapter's data LED blinking during the connection procedure?

No, it doesn't. VAG DPF works only with VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) cars.

Do you know the engine code of your T5?
OBDeleven adapter has been built to work only with its related app, it isn't an ELM327 compatible device so can't be used for other apps.
