Re: DPF Frequent regens CUPA engine code
Huge amount of details! Thanks for sharing. In many cases we (in general) can't be sure if a value is within the specified range and considered ok or not. For example your diff pressure or the injected fuel. Without the design specs we don't have a real reference to evaluate, but sometimes comparing...

Re: DPF Frequent regens CUPA engine code
Thanks for the hyper detailed post, it isn't common on the web and I'm sure it can help many other users. About your question on the soot charging rate, it's calculated by the app and it isn't coming from the ecu. Its very high number depends on the soot mass calculated value that can jump from a lo...

Good!
I'm working to remove that annoying error that seems to be irrelevant for the app to function, at least with new engines with 29bit init.

Based on your log, it seems you didn't use the group 97 BETA. Can you confirm?

Re: Engine Code CRTC
In the app you can select an engine group, no a single engine code. This because many engines share the same diagnostic setup so I've grouped them. If you select a group not suitable for your engine, you simply have "nd" values in the fields, but you risk nothing because for a request of a missing p...

Re: Application
No it doesn't.
OBDeleven adapter works only with OBDeleven app. They've decide to limit its usage to the official app only, so it isn't an ELM327 compatible device and can't be used with any other app.

Re: Problem: ECU responds always: NO DATA
It means that no answer comes from the ECU, for any request.
If it was working and suddenly stopped to work, I think it's an hardware failure in the OBD adapter. Maybe try it with another app to confirm.

Re: Engine: DTSB
From the screenshot of Milos, the group is 18. You can see it on top right, it's the green number.
Anyway you can try all engine groups and choose the best for you, it's a procedure that takes just some minutes.

Re: BETA test for 29bit init protocol
It behaves the same way in my Škoda Kodiaq II 2024, there is always error message at the start but then everything works just fine. I think this was introduced with one of the previous versions as in the beginning when the 29-bit protocol was first introduced there was no error message at the start...

Re: BETA test for 29bit init protocol
On my Ford Tourneo Connect 2025 (which is exactly a rebranded VW Caddy V with MQB-EVO platform and DXR motorcode) the 29bit protocol works, I can see the date even if when I connect I always receive the error message of OBD protocol not established. But then just close message and it works. Log att...

Re: VW Caddy 2025 EA288-Evo DXR
Did you try all available engine groups in the app options? Also the 97 BETA group? Unknown engines can't be assigned to the correct engine group, so the app uses the first group in the list that is the 0. Of course if can be the wrong one for the engine, so you need to change the group and try if u...

Re: Differential pressure
Can you send me some logs with the diff pressure inside? With and without regeneration active, if possible. I need to understand if the value is correct before to add it, I can't add only because it seems ok. I decided to limit the parameters to 12 to have all of them available on screen. If you wan...

Re: engine code DPYD
You should use a can-analyzer but it would create tons of logs quite useless without knowing what exactly the engine was doing when you registered them, second by second.
Have you ever used another diagnostic app capable of showing all DPF parameters? Maybe this can be a starting point.

Re: Passat B8 CRLB question
Consider that there are counters that can force the regeneration: 2 of them are time and mileage. If you reach those limits, the ECU starts the regeneration moving the soot value to 100%. This is an example of what happens in the ECU, it's not always a regular growing of the soot mass. That said, if...

Re: Polish language.
Thanks, but I prefer to keep the app english only (italian is a bonus thanks to my nationality). There are few words in the app and many of them are technical words that are worldwide known. In my opinion, it's better to understand those tech words that can be used for web search obtaining more resu...

Technically yes, but it's one of the functions that I've always avoided, also in the android app, to keep the app easier to modify. My first target is the usefulness of the information, not the graphics or the convenient functions.
